Pandava Dhootha Perumal Temple




Lord Krishna went as Dutha to Duriyodhana Court to ask him to give five houses for Pandavas.Duriyodhana Made a fault throne made of Bamboo for Lord Krishna and stationed a number of soldiers underneath the throne to kill Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna sat on throne and took his huge form "VISWAROOPA" and killed all Soldiers.

                   Since,Lord Krishna went as Dutha for Pandavas he got the name "PANDAVA DUTHA".It is rarest form that 25 Feet tall Lord Krishna Statue in Sitting Form.

                   Four Alwars viz.Peyalwar,Bhoothathalwar,Thirumazhizai Alwar and Thirumangai Alwar paid obeisance, worshipped and sang in praise of their deity.This temple one of the 108 Dhivya desam called as "THIRUPADAGAM".

                   The Tank of this temple called as Mathsaya Theertham and Vimanam called as Chakra Vimanam.King Janamenajeyan and Harithamuni performed penance and Worshipped Vishwaroopa Dharisanam of Lord Krishna Here.

                   This Temple is very close to Ekambareeshwar Temple and Juragareeshwarar Temple withing distance of 200 Meters.
